Inspirational Quote to the Rescue

There is always that one surface in a space no one is sure what to do with.

It’s not a primary location. And there isn’t any content still looking for a home. But we don’t want to leave it empty.

Maybe the surface is too large to be empty. Maybe lots of people will see the surface despite it not being primary. Maybe there is pressure to use every square foot.

(Maybe we're worried someone will find this empty space later and occupy it with something we wish they wouldn't.)

What to do? Here’s a simple move that almost always works:

Inspirational quote to the rescue.

Follow these steps:

  • Dedicate the entire surface to one text quote. Nothing else at all.

  • The writer can be famous, or not. It just has to be relevant, and good.

  • But it needs to be short.

  • Make the entire surface visually unified, in one color or material.

  • Size the quote visually to be neither huge nor tiny, with plenty of breathing room.

Here’s the thing:
When a leftover surface can’t be empty, but can’t be primary either, what to do?

Inspirational quote to the rescue.

Warmly,
Jonathan
